Dr. Priti Adani

Chairperson, Adani Foundation

Dr. Priti Adani is the Chairperson of the Adani Foundation—one of Asia’s premier non-profit philanthropic institutions with a USD 7 billion commitment and a USD 100 million annual outlay. The Foundation serves as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the Adani Group—India’s fastest-growing diversified portfolio of market-leading companies, headquartered in Ahmedabad.

Dr. Adani has been at the helm of transformative social initiatives since 1996, when she chose to forgo a career in medicine and dedicate herself to public service. What began as a modest welfare initiative in just a few villages has since evolved into a powerful national movement, with the Adani Foundation now impacting 9.1 million people annually across 6,769 villages in 19 Indian states.

Under Dr. Adani’s stewardship, the Foundation has made significant strides in five key areas – education, health and nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, climate action, and community development. She leads a team of 800 development professionals committed to improving the lives of children, women, youth, and marginalised communities. The Foundation’s programmes are, by design, aligned with national priorities and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2020, Dr. Adani, a medical professional by training, was also conferred an honorary doctorate by the Gujarat Law Society University for her contributions to education and CSR. In May 2025, she received a second honorary doctorate, from Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research, Maharashtra.
