Dr. Priti Adani is the Founder and Chairperson of the Adani Foundation — one of Asia’s premier non-profit philanthropic institutions with a USD 7 billion commitment and a USD 100 million annual outlay. The Foundation serves as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the Adani Group — India’s fastest-growing diversified portfolio of market- leading companies, headquartered in Ahmedabad.
A doctor by qualification, and an educationist and a philanthropist by passion, Dr. Adani has been at the helm of the Adani Foundation since 1996, when she chose to forgo a career in medicine and dedicate herself to public service. What began as a modest welfare initiative in a few villages of Mundra, Kutch, has since evolved into a powerful national movement, currently operating across 7,247 villages and urban wards in 22 Indian states.
Under Dr. Adani’s stewardship, the Adani Foundation, backed by a dedicated team of over 800 development professionals, actively drives impact across five core thematic areas – Education, Health and Nutrition, Sustainable Livelihoods Development, Community Development, and Climate Actions – reaching over 13.3 million lives.
Furthering her enduring commitment to education, Dr. Adani serves as the President of the Adani University (AU) and the Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management (AIDTM), providing strategic leadership to drive institutional excellence. In April 2026, she was appointed as the Chancellor of Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER), a deemed to be university.
Dr Adani also holds advisory and board positions across several eminent institutions and globally reputed forums, contributing to governance and broader institutional discourse.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education and philanthropy, Dr. Adani was conferred an Honorary Doctorate by the Gujarat Law Society University in 2020 and an Honoris Causa by the Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research, Maharashtra, in 2025.
