Not to Worry. If you have lost or misplaced any of your valuables at the airport, we are there to assist you.

Lost & Found Claim Process:

  • Step 1: Contact Lost & Found Department and submit your details:
    • Domestic Terminal (Terminal 1):

    • International Terminal (Terminal 2):

  • Step 2: Lost & Found Team will Verify the details and revert to Passenger.
    • Response Time - 48 working hours
  • Step 3: Incase Item is Verified, the lost article / articles may be claimed on producing the following documents:
    • Copy of Boarding pass
    • Copy of any Government authorized photo identity card preferably Passport / Driving License / Aadhaar Card / Voter card.
    • Form filled and signed by the owner with details of the items being claimed.
    If the title holder/ owner of the lost item/article is either (i) indisposed (ii) residing outside India and are claiming through an authorized claimant, the following documents are to be submitted to the lost & found section:
    • Valid Government photo-ID of the owner of the item
    • Valid Government photo-ID of the individual authorized to collect
    • An authorization letter copies already shared via email by the passenger to L&F's email ID

Office Timings:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed

Note: - Retention Period of lost and found articles at TIAL is 60 Days. Articles will be disposed of after the mentioned retention period. Perishables and articles which are not suitable for storage will be disposed of within 48 hours.

For and in respect of item(s)/article(s) misplaced or lost onboard the aircraft, please contact the concerned airlines for assistance, as each of the Airlines/ Aircraft Operators may have a different process for claiming the article(s).

Any such item will be appropriately processed as per the guidelines. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TIAL) is not liable for any wear, damage, alteration, or modification that may occur to these items during the time of their storage.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TIAL) does not offer courier or postal services for lost items, nor insurance or any similar coverage. Items found shall be stored responsibly in line with the retention/storage policy. To reclaim a lost item, individuals must follow the outlined process, including verification of identity and proof of ownership. A valid government-issued ID, boarding pass/ticket, and an authorisation letter (if the item is being collected on someone’s behalf) would be required. Items that remain unclaimed will be managed as per Thiruvananthapuram International Airport's (TIAL) retention policy.
